Senior Account Executive

 Senior Account Executives are assigned to six accounts and are important members of every account team at the agency.  They are responsible for the majority of the media pitching, as well as merchandising and packaging results, conducting research and preparing various client correspondence.  

The ideal candiate must demonstrate excellent writing, communication and presentation skills.  In addition, they are to be provided the opportunity to work with senior staff to offer creative campaign suggestions and ideas on a regular basis.

Responsibilities and requirements:

  • Pitch media and secure high profile placements
  • Organize press trips and media tours
  • Generate monthly reports for clients
  • Work with team to create exciting trends and story angles

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years Public Relations agency experience (*This is mandatory – others need not apply)
  • Excellent media pitching skills
  • Superior writing and communication skills
  • A clip book showcasing recent media placements that appeared in national and regional publications
  • Ability to multi-task and excel on five to six accounts

Vice President, Lifestyle Group

 Vice Presidents have a highly visible and important role and are responsible for strategically leading high-profile accounts at the agency.  They are accountable for successfully protecting their assigned accounts and are also charged with operating as industry experts within their specific practice areas, developing and owning the client decision maker relationship, creating the strategic direction for accounts and developing newsworthy and creative campaign ideas implemented on a quarterly basis.  They are expected to oversee ten accounts.

Vice Presidents must also develop enduring relationships with the top media that matter the most to clients.  Vice Presidents are tasked with very high-level and targeted pitching across all accounts and are frequently called upon to assist with various aspects of new business development.

Vice Presidents are responsible for successfully coaching and mentoring their direct reports, providing training for team development, and are often asked to provide additional employee advice and counsel.

Vice President, Digital Media

 Murphy O’Brien has a career opportunity for a Vice President of Digital Media to lead our social media division.   This position will be responsible for leading agency digital initiatives, implementing best practices, providing industry insights, acting as the expert on digital practices and creating effective viral campaigns while demonstrating ROI to our clients.

The Vice President of Digital Media will lead and coach a team of media professionals that plan and execute campaigns across digital platforms, connecting the right message with the right audiences at the right time. The ideal candidate for this role has an entrepreneurial spirit and understands the broad array of technologies such as Sprout, NUVI, CrowdTanlge and can plan, execute and measure comprehensive digital ad campaigns, but also coach, teach and lead the digital media team. The Vice President of Digital Media will be passionate about managing client expectations, as well as educating our team and clients. 

Responsibilities and requirements:

  • Lead research, planning and development of comprehensive digital programs and new business pitches.
  • Work directly with clients.
  • Work with a social media team to develop and manage ongoing media marketing plans for campaigns targeting B2B & B2C.
  • Act as day-to-day contact with account teams and clients and be responsible for overseeing the execution of complex social advertising strategies.
  • Ensure reports on campaign performance, including insights and optimization recommendations are timely, accurate and actionable.

  • Minimum 7 years of digital media experience within an agency environment
  • In depth knowledge of the ever changing social media space, FTC regulations, well versed in Terms & Conditions for online sweepstakes and contests, Facebook Advertising, Twitter Advertising and Instagram Advertising
  • Expert-level knowledge experience across all social platforms, native platform analytics, and social intelligence tools.
  • In depth knowledge of performance attribution and measurement.
  • Understands the logistics of planning a media campaign to meet strategic and tactical marketing objectives while remaining within budget constraints.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of social media advertising metrics.
  • Proficient with syndicated research and social media monitoring tools with ability to use these tools to inform ad and campaign design.

 Murphy O’Brien is looking for a Community Manager to create social media content calendars, provide community management and deliver quantifiable results for multiple accounts.

Digital Capabilities

  • Increase growth and engagement of online communities

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Journalism or a related field
  • Minimum 3-4 years professional experience, in a corporate or agency setting, using social media to represent a business or product
  • Must be a strong writer and creator of compelling contentExperience in Twitter and Facebook Ads is a must, experience with Custom Audiences and Lookalike Audiences/pixel implementation are a plus
  • Instagram ad experience is a plus
  • Experience managing social media channels on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest and other emerging social platforms, brand experience with Snapchat and/or Periscope is a plus

Account Directors must develop enduring relationships with the top media that matter the most to clients.  Account Directors are tasked with very high-level and targeted pitching across all accounts and are frequently called upon to assist with various aspects of new business development.  Account Directors must have excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills, and must consistently teach and demonstrate these skills to elevate the skill sets of more junior team members, in addition to mentoring their direct reports.
